Message from the Senior Director of Development & Alumni Affairs

The College of Pharmacy is well on its way to reaching its Go Greater goal.

Dear Alumni and Friends,

As we complete year five of the eight-year Go Greater fundraising campaign, we are excited to update you on our significant progress toward our goal. The UF College of Pharmacy has a $35 million goal, and we have raised more than $26 million, or about 75 percent.

Much of this success is due to several new initiatives that were inspired by our closest donors and alumni. Notably, the Crisafi Challenge, which you can read about on page 24, which has grown from a 10-day, $10,000 fundraising challenge to a 10-day, $100,000 challenge in only four years. Through these dollars raised, the college has provided nearly $300,000 in recruitment scholarships. These are among some of the largest, most prestigious scholarships in the college.

Additionally, our 10inTEN challenge was an effort to raise 10 new legacy gifts in 10 months from alumni who considered putting the college into their wills for a percentage or dollar amount. Eleven donors included the college into their plans within the ten-month window — growing our legacy society by 40 percent.

In February, the University of Florida celebrated the success of its first university-wide giving day, Stand Up & Holler. With more than 11,500 gifts secured, the collective UF community responded in an outstanding way. Our hope is that UF College of Pharmacy alumni can join the greater UF community and participate in a big way during our next giving day on February 20, 2020. We will share more information and have some exciting matching gift opportunities to share — making your gift go two or three times as far, if you give on this day!

Go Gators,
