White Coats for Black Lives

UF College of Pharmacy family stand together against racism and racial prejudices.

The senseless killing of George Floyd stirred outrage across the country and in the UF College of Pharmacy. On June 5, faculty, staff and students joined colleagues from UF Health in supporting the national White Coats for Black Lives movement. For 10 minutes, participants in Gainesville and Jacksonville kneeled in silence to remember Floyd. The peaceful and humble gesture showed solidarity among the health care community while raising awareness about racial injustice.

Jacksonville pharmacy students Dimple Patel, Moya Reid, Jade Nanan and Nicole Rossi participated in the White Coats for Black Lives event.
