Julie Johnson, Pharm.D.
Julie Johnson, Pharm.D., dean and distinguished professor, was presented the 2021 Precision Medicine World Conference Luminary Award. The award recognizes individuals who have made significant contributions to accelerate precision medicine within the clinical setting and is regarded as one of the most prestigious in the precision medicine field.
Hendrik Luesch, Ph.D.
Hendrik Luesch, Ph.D., a professor and chair of medicinal chemistry and the Debbie and Slyvia DeSantis Chair in Natural Products Drug Discovery and Development, earned a 2021 UF Innovation of the Year award for his discovery and complete chemical and pharmacological characterization of a novel marine natural product that can potentially fight cancer. UF Innovate selected Luesch’s discovery from among nearly 300 inventions disclosed in fiscal year 2021.
Haesuk Park, Ph.D.
Haesuk Park, Ph.D., an associate professor of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy, was selected as the University of Florida College of Pharmacy’s Doctoral Dissertation Mentoring Award winner for 2022. The award recognizes excellence, innovation and effectiveness in mentoring doctoral students throughout their dissertation project.
Katie Vogel Anderson, Pharm.D., BCACP
The American College of Clinical Pharmacy, or ACCP, has elected Katie Vogel Anderson, Pharm.D., BCACP, a clinical associate professor of pharmacotherapy and translational research, as an ACCP Fellow. The distinction is awarded to individuals who have made sustained contributions to ACCP and who have demonstrated exceptional performance in clinical pharmacy practice and/or research.
Scott M. Vouri, Pharm.D., Ph.D., BCGP
The American Geriatrics Society presented Scott M. Vouri, Pharm.D., Ph.D., BCGP, an assistant professor of pharmaceutical outcomes and policy, with a 2022 Health in Aging Foundation New Investigator Award. The honor recognizes individuals whose original research reflects new and relevant insights in geriatrics and who are committed to a career in aging research.
